(VANCOUVER, Wash.) - A 16-year old female student from Prairie High School, Amanda Bentz, was reported missing by her parents after they learned that she never arrived at school. The Clark County Sheriff's Office says they learned of the missing student around 1:00 PM today. Karen and Tim Bentz reported Amanda missing to Prairie High School's campus Deputy Sheriff after they learned that Amanda had not been present in any of her classes at Prairie High School. Mr. Bentz described his daughter as a "good student," who is not normally absent from school. Amanda is described as a white female, 16-years old, five foot five inches tall, 118 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair. Amanda may have her hair in a ponytail, pierced ears, pink and black tennis shoes, a gray pullover hoody sweatshirt, carrying a black leather purse and a black backpack. There is some indication that Amanda may have been communicating with an unknown aged male (via internet) who live in the Midwest. The Clark County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit and the MCU Computer Forensics Lab have been assigned the missing person case. If you have any information about the whereabouts of Amanda Bentz, please contact 911 or the Clark County Sheriff's Office Tip Line at 877-CRIME-11
