Canby Police Seek Suspect in Several CrimesSalem-News.comThey say 21-year old Rollin Morgan is a suspect for Residential Burglary, Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle and Hit and Run.
(CANBY, Ore.) - Police in Canby say 22-year old David Moriarty and 21-year old Rollin Morgan attempted to burglarize a residence on NE 34th place in Canby on September 28th at 11:46 AM. Both suspects were confronted by one of the residents and ran out of the house into an adjacent field, police said. David Moriarty was located on the West Linn side of the Canby Ferry and arrested. But they say Rollin Morgan stole a car from a nearby residence and remains at large But they say Rollin Morgan stole a car from a nearby residence in the 3800 block of N Locust Street in Canby, a short distance from the original burglary incident. The brother of the owner saw the vehicle being stolen and was attempting to catch up with it, as it was traveling away from the scene at a very high rate of speed. Police say Rollin Morgan then drove the stolen vehicle southbound on North Locust Street and crashed into a medium sized tree at North Locust Street and NE 12th in Canby. The victim's brother watched the suspect run from the vehicle and into the backyard of a residence. A police K9 was called to the scene and Rollin Morgan was not located and is at large. David Moriarty, who lives in Portland, was lodged at the Clackamas County Jail for Burglary I. Rollin Morgan is a transient and may be in the Canby or Portland areas.
