(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem Police detectives arrested a Silverton teacher yesterday in connection with an investigation into allegations of sexual abuse with a child.
Lt. Steve Birr with Salem Police says 46-year old Susan Christina Alderson is a 6th grade teacher at Robert Frost Elementary School in Silverton.
Alderson was was arrested Tuesday after a search warrant was served at her home in the 2100 block of Robins Lane SE in Salem at about 10:30 a.m.
"Alderson is alleged to have had an ongoing sexual relationship between 2002 and 2006 with a boy who was 13 years of age when it began. The victim was not one of her students," Birr said.
Alderson was lodged at the Marion County Correctional Facility on charges of first-degree Rape, second-degree Rape, first-degree Sodomy, second-degree Sodomy, first-degree Sex Abuse and second-degree Sex Abuse.
