(MILWAUKIE) - Milwaukie Police officers say they got more than they bargained for while responding to a report of a man who was reportedly harassing a neighbor in the area of SE 42nd and SE Mason Lane.

Kevin Krebs with Milwaikie Police, says that as officers attempted to make contact with the subject inside his residence in the 4200 block of SE Mason Lane earlier today, "The subject made threats to injure officers and was uncooperative."

"As officers attempted to take him into custody on a probation detainer, the subject discharged a can of OC pepper spray at the officers."

Krebs says the subject was taken into custody after the use of a Taser by the officers. Six officers were affected by the pepper spray.
