NHEO’s President to Talk at U.S. Customs and Border Protection Event
(CHARLOTTE, N.C.) - Juan Pablo Giometti, President and CEO of National Hispanic Entrepreneurs' Organization (NHEO) will speak at the U.S. Customs and Border Protection on September 30 at 11:00 a.m. (EST).
The conference is in North Carolina, centering on Hispanics, the job market, and entrepreneurial opportunities, while celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month.
The main purpose of the presentation is to educate others about how Hispanics are impacted by the current economic situation.
There are many obstacles that Latinos are facing in today's challenging work environment.
Juan Pablo Giometti said, "I look forward to discussing ways for Hispanics to be successful given the state of the economy. Whether you are looking to start a business or grow your business, there are many resources and organizations available for entrepreneurs and small business owners that are not being utilized."
Federal Laws, Executive Orders and EEOC regulations mandate special emphasis programs to ensure that equal opportunity in employment and equal treatment of all employees exists in the Federal sector.
These programs have the following overall goals:
• To overcome barriers that restricts equal employment opportunity for women, minorities and individuals with disabilities.
• To create an environment for cultural appreciation and awareness.
• To support inclusiveness and full participation in the workplace.
Customs and Border Protection is one of the Department of Homeland Security’s largest and most complex components. Their priority mission is "keeping terrorists and their weapons out of the U.S."
It also has a responsibility for securing and facilitating trade and travel while enforcing hundreds of U.S. regulations, including immigration and drug laws.
