(SALEM) - Turner Road under Interstate 5 in south Salem will be closed to all traffic from 7:00 PM Tuesday through 5:00 AM Thursday for bridge work.
Northbound I-5 traffic will shift into the southbound lanes, but will remain open. Southbound I-5 traffic is using a detour bridge while contractors replace the Turner Road overpass.
Turner Road crosses under I-5 and connects Mission Street (OR 22, the N. Santiam Highway) with Kuebler Boulevard. Turner Road traffic will be detoured around the work zone using Kuebler Boulevard from the south, and Airway Drive from the north.
The work to replace the I-5 Turner Road overpass is part of a larger construction project to widen I-5 in south Salem between the N. Santiam Highway and Kuebler interchanges, and repair one bridge and replace six in the area.
The project is scheduled to last until July 2008.
