The arrest last year of Pratum Elementary teacher Matthew Gould left the small town east of Salem, in shock and disbelief.
(SALEM) - The Marion County District Attorney`s office has filed ten additional counts of first degree sex abuse against a former Pratum Elementary School teacher.
44-year-old Matthew Gould faces 15 counts of first-degree sex abuse.
He was arrested at the school on March 16th on five counts of first-degree sex abuse.
Gould`s alleged victim is a 14-year-old male student at the school.
School officials reported the case to police after apparently receiving information from a source in the community.
Gould, who taught 6th through 8th graders, had been employee of the Silver Falls School District for 14 years,
The K-8 school has approximately 80 students.
Gould resigned from his teaching post on May 15.
Gould is scheduled for arraignment at 8 AM Thursday at the Marion County Court Annex..
The Marion County District Attorney Office could not comment on what led to the newly filed charges.
