State Police and emergency crews are on the scene of a fatal motor vehicle crash near Detroit, drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible or expect long delays.
(DETROIT) - Police and fire crews say a crash on Highway 22 at the west end of Detroit Lake near Big Cliff Dam happened around 7:30 PM Sunday claimed the life of one person.
Oregon State Police were enroute to the scene at 7:45 PM. The area has been heavily congested over the weekend with holiday vacation traffic. Again, motorists are advised to avoid the area until further notice.
Fire personnel already on scene report that this crash as fatal. At this point, they say the number of vehicles involved is unknown, and the initial report involves one fatality.
The Highway is closed, and traffic will not be passing until investigators finish their work and reopen the highway. There is no more information to release.
