(ALBANY) - Albany police are asking for the public’s help in locating 32-year-old Rachel Lea Soto they believe on Monday robbed two businesses in Albany.

Officers responded to an armed robbery just after 4:00 PM Monday at the 7-Eleven store, located at 6190 Pacific Blvd. S.W.

A woman entered the store, asked the clerk for a pack of cigarettes and started to walk to the door, Police Capt. Eric Carter said.

When the clerk confronted the woman about not paying, she pointed a small-frame .38-caliber revolver at the clerk and “made a reference to not having to pay for anything,” Carter said.

Albany police were called to another robbery at 9:30 PM at the EconoLodge, located at 1212 Price Road S.E.

A woman who entered the business asked for all the money in the till and lifted her shirt to reveal a handgun in her waistband, Carter said. The woman left with several hundred dollars, and was last seen walking south on Price Road.

Carter said his department was also notified Monday of a robbery at a Corvallis business. “We have reason to believe they’re related,” Carter said.

Soto is described as 5-foot-3, 135 to 160 pounds, brown hair with blond streaks, and blue eyes.

Soto is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone who sees or knows of Soto’s whereabouts is asked not to approach her, but to immediately call Albany police at (541) 917-7680.
