Free admission, special music and events are planned for Veterans’ Appreciation Days at the Oregon State Fair.
(SALEM) - Veterans looking to attend the Oregon State Fair should plan ahead to save big.
The Oregon State Fair is recognizing the service and sacrifice of Oregon veterans by providing free admission during the first weekend of the fair.
This is for veterans only.
Free admission dates are Saturday and Sunday, August 26th and 27th.
In addition to the traditional offerings, and a wide variety of entertainment opportunities, the nonprofit group Remembering America's Heroes will provide special veterans activities in the Salem Armory Auditorium.
"A Tribute to Veterans," a 40's USO-style show will occur both Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 PM.
Remembrance displays, and military memorabilia will be featured in the Jackman-Long Building.
Veteran vouchers are only available from the Oregon Department of Veterans’ Affairs (ODVA).
