Police think he may be the victim of a bad drug deal, they are hoping someone in the community can share information that will assist their search.
(SALEM) - The Salem Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a missing adult who may have been the victim of foul play.
23-year old Christopher Marcus Lampkin of Salem stands 5 feet, nine inches. He weighs 150 Lbs, his hair is brown and his eyes are blue.
Chris Lampkin was last seen at about 3:00 PM April 10th, 2006 getting into a dark green four door sedan on Ruge St in West Salem.
He was reported missing by his parents in late May, but the official missing person file case report was not filed until June 21st.
Prior to reporting their son's disappearance, his parents had spoken to people that indicted their son was the victim of foul play and there was the possibility it was over a drug related issue.
To date, Salem Police Spokesman Bill Kohlmeyer says detectives have not been able to prove or disprove that issue. Reports also indicate that Lampkin's body is in rural Polk County or the Santiam area of Marion County.
"Salem Police Detectives have been following leads in the case but so far none have led us to Chris. He has been entered into the National Center for Missing Adults."
Information on Chris Lampkin and other missing people is available at: www.theyaremissed.org.
Anyone with information in the case is asked to contact Detective Corporal Jake Burke at 503 588-6050 ext 7163.
