More charges filed against a former elementary school teacher
(SALEM) - A Pratum Elementary School teacher accused of 14 counts of First-Degree Sex Abuse and one count of Attempted Sexual Abuse pled not guilty to the charges Friday.
A date for trial will be determined at 1:30 PM, Wednesday, August 30th for Matthew Gould.
On June 29th, the Marion County District Attorney`s office filed ten additional counts of first degree sex abuse against the former Pratum Elementary School teacher.
Gould was arrested at the school on March 16th on five counts of first-degree sex abuse.
Gould`s alleged victims are three male students at the school.
School officials reported the case to police after apparently receiving information from a source in the community.
Gould, who taught 6th through 8th graders, had been employee of the Silver Falls School District for 14 years,
The K-8 school has approximately 80 students.
