Police say David Leininger, allegedly to stopped two vehicles Wednesday night. In one case he handcuffed an 18-year-old female driver.
(CANBY) - Canby Police learned that 27-year-old David Leininger allegedly stopped another vehicle after he stopped an 18-year-old female driver in Canby on N Cedar Street at NW 6th.
The first victim was stopped at about 11:15 PM.
The second victim, who just recently came forward, told Officers he was stopped on Knights Bridge Road near Barlow road by a male driving a red Ford Bronco with flashing lights.
The second victim described the suspect as wearing a dark colored t-shirt that had police written on it.
The suspect asked the victim for his drivers license, returned to the red Bronco, and then came back and told the driver he was free to go.
The driver had to ask the suspect back for his license, which he returned.
When Leininger was contacted, Detectives located his red Ford Bronco.
The Bronco had been outfitted with alternating, flashing headlights.
Leininger is being charged with Kidnap in the Second Degree, Impersonating a Police Officer (Two Counts), and Harassment.
He is being lodged at Clackamas County Jail.
