(SALEM) - State Report Cards were released Wednesday and show that 100% of Salem-Keizer rated schools received a satisfactory or higher mark for 2005-06.
Among the data released by the Oregon Department of Education, there is positive news for Salem-Keizer Public Schools.
Sixty-one out of 66 schools that received a State rating on the School Report Card got a “satisfactory” or higher mark. And based on the report, our schools continue to show a positive academic achievement trend.
Thirteen schools were listed as showing improvement under the improvement section.
All of the rated schools received an “exceptional” rating in the school characteristics category for testing more than 95% of students.
None of the schools received an overall rating of “unacceptable” or “low”.

“This is a reflection of our state assessment scores that showed steady improvement. We’re heading in the right direction, and it’s thanks to the commitment of staff, parents, community members and our students,” said Superintendent Sandy Husk.
