(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) - Country music singer-songwriter Sara Evans and her husband Craig Schelske a native of Salem, Oregon appeared in court Thursday that resulted in a mutual agreement between the two in matters involving their finances and children.
Their divorce was well-publicized in the media after Evans charged that Schelske was emotionally and verbally abusive, drank heavily, and watched porn frequently in their home.
During the couple’s court appearance they agreed to an equal split of $274,000 that Evans says Schelske withdrew from their joint checking accounts the day she filed for divorce, October 12th.
Craig SchelskeSchelske also accepted the judge's recommendation that he find other living arrangements rather than trying to find a way of moving back into the couple's home.
The couple is also working out a visitation schedule for Schelske to see their three children Audrey, Avery and Olivia.
Schelske, is the Chairman of CRAIG PAC, a national political action committee dedicated to electing Republicans at the federal and state level.
In 2002, he ran as a Republican for Oregon’s 5th Congressional District seat against Democratic nominee Brian Boquist.
Boquist won by nearly a 2 to 1 margin.

Evans withdrew from ABC's Dancing With the Stars competition after filing for divorce from Schelske.
