30-year old Kati Kim, and daughters 4-year old Penelope and 7-month old Sabine were found by search & rescue crews yesterday.
(GRANTS PASS) - Search efforts have continued around-the-clock for 35-year-old James Kim who was last seen leaving the location where his vehicle was found by searchers Monday afternoon.
Kim was reported by his wife to have left their car Saturday, December 2nd, at 7:45 AM in attempt to obtain help.
He failed to return at the pre-determined time of 1:00 PM.
Approximately 100 individuals are involved with the search efforts focusing on the Big Windy Creek Drainage about 30 miles of Grants Pass north of Bear Camp Road.
Elevation in the area is about 3,000 feet.
According to Josephine County Sheriff's Office, the section of focus is a 5 mile long canyon and is about five miles from where the car was found.
At about 1:45 PM Monday, search & rescue officials were notified that a vehicle and a female waving an umbrella were spotted by a helicopter search crew near the Rogue River in the area of Bear Camp Viewpoint off Bear Camp Road. The location is near the Curry / Josephine County line in Josephine County.
30-year old Kati Kim, and daughters 4-year old Penelope and 7-month old Sabine were transported to Three Rivers Community Hospital in Grants Pass.
Kati, and 4-year-old Penelope were released from the hospital but will stay with 7-month-old Sabine, who needs some extra care.
