Albany Teen Escapes Attempted Kidnapping

The suspect vehicle is described as a two-door car possibly a Honda or an Acura.

(ALBANY) - A 15-year-old girl was able to escape from a man who tried to pull her into his vehicle Sunday night on a southeast Albany street.

Police say the girl was out looking for her family’s dog, near Lexington Street and 24th Ave SE, when the male suspect pulled up and asked her if she needed a ride.

When the girl said no, the driver attempted to grab her and pull her into the car. She was able to escape and run a few blocks away where some neighborhood kids were playing.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, in his late 30s to early 40s, with short or medium-length black hair, a mustache, crooked teeth and a chipped front tooth.

The suspect vehicle is described as a two-door car possibly a Honda or an Acura.

It was dark in color, with tinted windows, a spoiler in the back and pop-up headlights.
