Police are trying to track down the vehicle's owner because the car is not registered to the suspect.
(SALEM) - Oregon State Police arrested a man they say fled on foot after a traffic violation Monday morning.
20-year old Shane Curry, was stopped in a 1986 Pontiac Grand-Am on Court Street in Salem at around 9:30 AM.
Curry ran towards Willamette University, entered Gatke Hall, and then jumped out a second-floor restroom window.
He continued running south across the campus and shed some of his clothing along the way, according to police.
Curry was spotted by Willamette University security on a 12th Street foot bridge, where he was detained until police arrived.
Curry was logged in the Marion County Jail and charged with attempt to elude police on foot, a misdemeanor, Second-Degree criminal trespassing and Second-Degree burglary.
He was also driving with a suspended license.
Police are also trying to track down the vehicle's owner, because the car is not registered to Curry.
