The woman says a stranger gave her the drugs and told her to take them to the prison.
(PORTLAND) - The FBI says an Aumsville woman gave her inmate boyfriend a Skittles bag full of cocaine and methamphetamine.
Maria Martinez has been charged with possessing and providing controlled substances to her boyfriend, Randy Allen Denhem.
An FBI criminal complaint says corrections officers became suspicious after watching the couple on surveillance video. Denhem pretended to eat the candy when he was actually swallowing the balloons full of drugs.
The FBI says he made several attempts to destroy the balloons and drugs while in solitary confinement.
Denhem is serving a 15-year sentence for weapons violations at the Sheridan Correctional Institution.
He was scheduled for release in October.
The FBI says Martinez admitted to giving the drugs to Denham. She told investigators that a stranger gave her the drugs and told her to take them to the prison.
