(SALEM) - A former Salem DMV employee has been arrested for allegedly going to a customer's home looking for sex.

Keizer police say 54-year-old William Carnegie was arrested last month after months of investigation.

They say that Carnegie used the woman’s personal information after helping her renew her driver’s license last June.

He allegedly went to the victim's home with a cashier’s check saying the woman had overpaid, and made sexual advances towards the woman.

Carnegie is facing misdemeanor official misconduct charges.

A DMV spokesperson said Carnegie was fired back in December.

Carnegie is appealing the firing through the union.
