(MONMOUTH) - A month long investigation involving the sales of methamphetamine led to two arrests in Polk County Wednesday.
The Polk County Interagency Narcotics Team, assisted by the Monmouth Police Department and the Polk County Sheriff's Office, served a search warrant on an apartment located at 287 S Monmouth Ave #8 in Monmouth.
Troy Williams, the resident of the apartment, was arrested and charged with Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine within 1000 feet of a School and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. His bail is set at $25,000.
Investigators located 7.58 grams of methamphetamine packaged for sale in the residence as well as digital scales, drug records and drug use paraphernalia.
Investigators also located a small amount of marijuana in the residence.
Sarah Smith, who was also located in the apartment, was taken into custody for outstanding warrants Probation Violations. Her bail is set at $2,500.
