The body was spotted in the same area that a police pursuit was terminated a couple of weeks ago, where a male subject was believed to have jumped into the Willamette River, in an effort to evade police apprehension.

(OREGON CITY) - The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office is responding to the Oregon City area of the Willamette River. It is reported a human body has been discovered visible in the water.

The most recent information received from the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Marine Patrol indicates that the area for this recovery will be centered approximately 200 yds, up stream from the old Oregon City - West Linn Bridge.

This is between the bridge and the falls.

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Marine water rescue and recovery team are responding to the location of Sports Craft Marina; presumably, this is where the recovery effort will be conducted by Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Marine personnel.

A Clackamas Sheriff's Office spokesman pointed out that this is the same area where a pursuit was terminated a couple of weeks ago; which was originated in the City of Canby, where a male subject was believed to have jumped into the Willamette River, in an effort to evade police apprehension.
