It wasn't your average day on TV, even for the FOX network, and while punches didn't fly and chairs did not sail, it makes the viewer wonder what is happening as it quickly spirals out of control.

(NEW YORK, N.Y.) - An extraordinary shouting match broke out between FOX network hosts Geraldo Rivera and Bill O'Reilly this week. It began after O'Reilly singled out a fatal drunk driving incident in Virginia and attributed the problem to the offender's immigration status.

They were talking about Alfredo Ramos, a man charged with manslaughter and suspected of being drunk when his car crashed into another in Virginia Beach one week ago. Two teenaged girls were killed. Ramos, a Mexican who has been in the United States seven years, allegedly entered the country illegally.

O'Reilly said he had a record and should have been deported, with one DUII and two other contacts with law enforcement. "This never would have happened if that were the case" he said.

With a mutually increasing tempo and noise level, Rivera told O'Reilly that the problem was the DUII, and accused the other FOX host of being behind a cheap political trick.

O'Reilly and Rivera both tried to calm the air but at the same time seemed to increase their attacks on the other's point of view.
