Investigators say alcohol or drugs is NOT suspected as a result of the traffic crash.
(LINCOLN CITY, Ore. ) - The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a single vehicle crash that sent two male juveniles to a Portland hospital with serious injuries.
On Monday, just after 4:00 PM, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, North Lincoln Fire and Pacific West Ambulance responded to the crash on Drift Creek Rd.
When Deputies arrived they learned that a 1997 standard cab Ford Ranger driven by a juvenile male was traveling south on Drift Creek Rd. at an unknown speed.
The driver lost control of the vehicle, crashed into an embankment causing the vehicle to roll over. The driver along with another juvenile male self extricated from the cab of the vehicle with minor injuries.
Two male juveniles who were riding in the bed of the pickup were ejected and sustained serious injuries, resulting in them being transported by Life Flight to Legacy Emanuel Hospital.
Both juveniles are in the Intensive Care Unit at Legacy Emanuel Hospital listed in serious condition.
Investigators say alcohol or drugs is NOT suspected as a cause of the traffic crash.
