Experts Debate Fath-Based Aspects of The Iraq War (VIDEO)

The theme of the event was, "Where Should Christians Stand?”

(SCAPOOSE, Ore.) - A faith-based debate over the Iraq War was held this week between a seminary professor and a prominent anti-war activist. The event was held at the Scapoose Library.

Many Christians say they are disappointed that a presidency with a foundation based in Christianity continues to make choices that result in warring violence.

Others believe that pressing the war effort is the only way to prevent the United States from again being the scene of terrorist attacks.

Dave Brownlow of Believers Against the War and Western Seminary Professor James DeYoung debated the military's involvement in Iraq Tuesday, May 1st.

James DeYoung, a professor of New Testament and Greek at Western Seminary in Portland, takes the position "Support the Troops, Stay the Course." DeYoung is the author of "Islam, Terrorism and Christian Hope." barnesandnoble.com
