The missing man, along with two other fishermen who were rescued were not wearing life jackets.
(ASTORIA, Ore. ) - The Coast Guard is searching for a missing man after his 16-foot sport fishing boat capsized 100-yards west of Astoria Megler Bridge Saturday around 7:53 AM.
The missing man was last seen wearing a camo/green jacket and jeans and is described as a 40-year old male weighing 210 pounds.
Two other people were were thrown into the water with the missing man when the boat capsized. The two were quickly recovered by rescuers and were transported to Columbia Memorial Hospital.
All three were not wearing life jackets.
Coast Guard Group / Air Station Astoria, Ore., launched a HH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew and is searching for the missing man along with two boat crews from Coast Guard Station Cape Disappointment and the Clatsop County Sheriff's Department.
