Salem Police Offering Reward in West Salem Shooting

The Salem Police Department is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect in this case.

(SALEM, Ore.) - On March 27th, at about 9:00 PM, a 32-year old woman was shot in the abdomen during a robbery by an unknown suspect as she placed items into her vehicle in the 500 block of Gerth St NW in Salem.

The suspect, described as a white or hispanic male in his late teens to early 20s, 5'7" to 5'11" tall with a thin to medium build, is still at large.

He was wearing a dark hooded jacket with the hood up and some type of cloth covering the lower part of his face and was last seen running south on Gerth St NW.

Salem Police Detectives have continued to actively follow up on leads in this case and are asking for assistance from the public in identifying the suspect.

The Salem Police Department is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect in this case.
