Salem Police Need Help in Identifying Robbery Suspect

The suspect left through the front door of the store and was last seen walking west through the parking lot.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - Salem Police Detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying a woman who robbed the South Salem Fred Meyer store on Monday night.

The woman is described as a white female in her 20's about 5'6", 120 lbs, with brown or red hair, wearing a white long sleeve shirt with a zippered front, dark pants and blue backpack.

At about 9:02 PM the suspect presented the 19-year-old cashier with a note claiming she had a bomb and demanding all the money.

The cashier complied, giving her the money from the cash register and the suspect left through the front door of the store and was last seen walking west through the parking lot.

No bomb was found and no one was injured.
