Preliminary information indicates that the victim and the suspects may have had a falling our over the distribution of proceeds from a local burglary.
(OREGON CITY) - A Wilsonville man was arrested by Clackamas County Sheriff's Patrol on Memorial Day for assaulting his half-brother with an axe handle while the victim brother was sleeping on a couch; then forcing him to go to a remote location along Grahams Ferry Road.
The axe handle believed to have been used in this attack was discarded by the suspect in this isolated area, and later recovered as evidence by Clackamas County Sheriff's Office patrol investigators.
Investigators say 50-year old Randy Ray Miller, Sr. intentionally caused physical injuries to his half-brother 45-year old William Joshua Davidson in the 4:00 AM attack.
It happened inside an apartment at 11060 SW Wilsonville Road, Wilsonville.
In the attack, investigators say Davidson suffered a broken tibia in his left leg; a broken rib on his right side; and multiple contusions on both the right and left forearms.
Clackamas deputies say Randy Miller did not act alone, and that 27-year old Jedidiah James Miller, the biological son of Randy Miller, has been arrested in connection with this reported assault.
William Davidson is the victim in the attackJedidiah Miller was located by Gladstone Police at 6:30 PM the same day, at W. Clarendon Street, in Gladstone.
Jedidiah Miller was transported to the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Jail and lodged for Conspiracy to commit assault in the second-degree; and first-degree kidnapping. Total bail is $500,000.
Clackamas County Sheriff's investigators say that as more information came forward about the assault, the two suspects: Randy Ray Miller, Sr. and William Joshua Davidson, emerged as suspects in a burglary that happened a week earlier at OTS Wire and Insulation on SW Barber Street in Wilsonville.
Police say both subjects have an established criminal history.
Preliminary information has surfaced which indicates Randy Miller and William Davidson may have had some type of a disagreement over money received from the sale of proceeds obtained from the burglary committed at OTS wire. This investigation continues.
Randy Ray Miller, Sr. was arrested at the location of the Memorial Day assault and was immediately lodged in the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Jail for the charge of second-degree Assault; first-degree Kidnapping, and violation of parole.
