Police say that just before 11:00 PM on June 1st, a transient found Mr. Gerow's body in the bushes east of the southbound exit 271 off ramp.
(WOODBURN, Ore.) - Oregon State Police detectives have contacted next of kin of an adult male found deceased Friday night on the east side of Interstate 5 in the Woodburn area.
The body of 54-year Bruce Brian Gerow was found by a transient individual in bushes near the southbound off ramp at exit 271. Preliminary investigation still indicates the death may be drug-related.
Police say that just before 11:00 PM on June 1st, a transient found Mr. Gerow's body in the bushes east of the southbound exit 271 off ramp.
Investigators say there were signs of drug use and no evidence of trauma or injury. The Medical Examiner will have toxicology tests done to confirm the cause of death.
It was confirmed through a family member located out of state that Mr. Gerow was homeless and did not have a permanent address for several years.
