Update: Stabbing in SE Salem Injures Two Twin Brothers

Police at the scene say the two brothers had some mental illnesses and had stopped taking their medications.

(SALEM, Ore.) - A fight between two Salem brothers led to a stabbing this morning at 618 Browning Ave SE.

Witnesses at the scene said one of the brothers was found by police around 11:30 AM on the ground with multiple stab wounds. The other brother was found inside the home and was brought out with blood all over him.

Officers at the scene say the two had some mental illnesses and had stopped taking their medications which led to the altercation.

According to police, 33-year-old Dennis Horvath stabbed his brother with an 8-inch kitchen knife several times.

His twin brother Daniel, also 33, suffered stab wounds to his chest, face, stomach, arms and back. He was rushed to Salem Hospital in serious condition firefighters said.

Daniel Horvath was arrested and booked into the Marion County Jail on assault charges.

Police are still investigating the incident.
