The program raises questions about what happened to our country September 11th, 2001.
(LEWISTON, Idaho) - A program on the History Channel this week opened the door for new information about 9/11 that claims the U.S. government was actually behind the tragic attack on domestic soil.
I have written about aspects of 9/11 on different occasions, and I am heartened that a national audience is now listening to a movement that has a message nobody wants to believe or hear.
There are a number of extremely disturbing points about the official case that this particular program misses. A documentary titled "Loose Change" is probably the most comprehensive account of the list of government inconsistencies in the 9/11 account.
The program is cited numerous times in the History Channel program. I noticed however that when a particular aspect of the allegations were discussed, they often would not be be the example that I would have selected as a producer. It struck me that the History Channel was actually picking the weaker soundbite and that is disturbing. I don't think it helps people understand the point.
Jim Meigs, the publisher of Popular Mechanics Magazine, is in according to many people, a paid off mouthpiece for the Bush Administration. His publication featured an article that claimed to "debunk" the 9/11 "Conspiracy Theories."
For some, it takes effort to read the magazine's assertions about how the government's version is 100% correct and keep a straight face.
On the Pentagon incident, their story quotes one person saying there was no wreckage or debris because an airplane "turns into liquid" when it crashes, which is not an accurate statement according to actual rescue personnel and crash site researchers.
Then they feature a "blast expert" in the PM article saying, "I held parts of uniforms from crew members in my hands, including body parts. Okay?"
One "expert" in the article says the plane turned to "liquid," that`s why there is no wreckage. Yet the other "expert" held parts of the crew`s uniform and body parts in his hand?
For perspective, Popular Mechanics is the magazine that published an article in the 1990's claiming that the "aliens" in the historic and controversial "Alien Autopsy" films are actually Japanese POW's that stayed on with the U.S. government to become flying saucer test pilots. Yes, they really published that and I have the magazine.
The publisher also conveniently has an answer for each inconsistency with the U.S. official story. Proponents of the government version are branded "experts" in this program but no unbiased "experts" corroborate the people working to bring light to the allegations.
They say "Conspiracy Theory" and Conspiracy Theorists" constantly and no other references are used for those who say the government is not telling the public the complete story about what happened that day.
The History Channel unfortunately does the same thing. It is the same name game and a "branding" process that the government goes to great effort to keep out there.
It is like other words in the last few years like "insurgents" and "Weapons of Mass Destruction" and "Terrorists" that this administration loves to constantly assault the American public with.
In the end, people have to examine the facts and decide for themselves what did or did not happen on 9/11. I have included links to three articles that I have written on the subject below.
For the record, and to explain why I took a particular interest in the subject; I have many years of experience locating aircraft crash sites for TV news and documentary work. I served in the 3rd Marine Air Wing as a jet aircraft refueler, and I have a close personal friend who dismantles 757's for a living.
This places me in a unique position as a journalist to discuss this subject. Please remember that when the term "Conspiracy Theory" is constantly stated, over and over, that people buy into it as a fact. The History Channel and the people who are paid to represent the government's version of the story do not want you to think very far into this, and I wouldn't either if I were them, because their story is completely full of holes.
The people who doubt the official story are not fairly portrayed in the History Channel program. And while each aspect of the government story fails to stand up to scrutiny, the clearest indicator that something extremely wrong happened is reflected in extreme unprecedented activity on the U.S. stock market in the days preceding 9/11. Again, it is possibly the most shocking aspect of all, as the trade activities in certain areas that were affected by 9/11 were clearly anticipated and numbers changed in record degrees right up until September 11th.
