The money was a deposit for a local business.

(ALOHA, Ore.) - Washington County deputies say a woman entering the U.S. Bank in Aloha Monday had her bank deposit snatched out of her hands by a thief in a "hoodie." They say the suspect got away with more than $8,000 in cash.

Sgt. David Thompson with the Washington County Sheriff's Office there says it happened at 8:19 AM at the U.S. Bank located at 19091 S.W. Tualatin Valley Highway in Aloha.

"A woman reported that a while she was entering the bank with her deposit, a man came up from behind her and snatched the bag out of her hand. She described the suspect as a white male, 5"7" to 5'10" tall, with a slender build. He was wearing a grey hoodie sweatshirt and dark colored pants."

Thompson says deputies used a K9 to search for the suspect, but were unable to locate him. "The suspect got away with more than $8,000 in cash. The money was a deposit from a local business. An ATM camera outside the bank took photographs of the suspect as he approached the bank and as he fled with the money."

Sheriff's detectives are asking the public's help in identifying the suspect. If you have any information regarding this case, please call the Washington County Sheriff's Office at (503) 846-2500 or 911 if you know the whereabouts of this suspect.
