The couple married in 1993 and have three children.

(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) - A Judge on Friday granted country singer Sara Evans a divorce Friday from her ex-husband Craig Schelske, from Salem, Ore. on the grounds of irreconcilable differences.

According to court records, the two agreed on a joint custody plan for their three children and will split marital assets. Evans also agreed to pay Schelske alimony of $600,000 over 10 years.

Evans, 36, filed for divorce last October, alleging that Schelske committed adultery, was verbally and emotionally abusive, drank excessively and frequently watched pornography in their home. He denied all the allegations and said she wanted a divorce beacuse she was having an extramarital affair.

Schelske, 43, in 2002 ran as a Republican for Oregon’s 5th Congressional District seat against Democratic nominee Brian Boquist.

Schelske is now the Chairman of CRAIG PAC, a national political action committee dedicated to electing Republicans at the federal and state level.
