Police say all four suspects are charged with a Measure 11 crime.
(MILWAUKIE, Ore.) - Milwaukie Police say an assault on a juvenile that occurred at 8:30 PM Thursday in Dogwood Park, in the 2000 block of SE Lake Road, has led to the arrests of four people.
Kevin Krebs with Milwaukie police says officers responded to a residence where a 17-year-old male juvenile reported that he had been assaulted by 5 suspects while at the park.
"One of the suspects used a weapon in the assault. The victim was treated and released from a local hospital and was able to identify the suspects. His injuries were reported as minor."
Krebs says four suspects have been arrested in the assault with two apprehended shortly afterward at the Milwaukie Transit Center. 20-year old Kacee M. Upshaw of Milwaukie, 19-year old Christopher Shayne Jones of Happy Valley, 18-year old Craig M. Wood of Milwaukie, and 18-year old Michael J. Newcomb of Milwaukie were taken into custody.
All four were charged with 2nd degree assault, a Measure 11 offense, and 3rd degree assault. They are currently lodged at the Clackamas County jail on $165,000 bail.
Upshaw and Jones are scheduled for a video arraignment at 3:00 PM today. Wood and Newcomb's video arraignments will take place on October 8th.
A fifth suspect has not yet been arrested but has been identified and is currently being sought by Milwaukie Police, Krebs said.
