(BEND, Ore.) - No matter the pressures purposely applied by heavy-cost tv-image propaganda, Oregonians owe it to themselves to stand fast for Measure 50 in the rapidly-approaching vote.
What your solid stance provides is precisely the strength needed now to prevent further extremely damaging impacts from that noxious weed --TOBACCO-- already notorious for millions of deaths and lingering illnesses around the world, ever since its extremely lucrative beginning in our democracy bolstering and capitalizing on human slavery.
That's why Southerners-then chose it --because it was so lucrative. That should provide a ringing definition of what's at stake, and who suffers, and what MUST be done about it...of which Measure 50 is direct action NOW to support and strengthen the decision forced upon our State by the delinquencies of the GOP in this last legislature.

Further dollar-driven, misleading and maliciously-intended tv images now seek to make Measure 50 seem a dangerous invasion of the Oregon Constitution, but factually, they fall flat on their face.
Those highly produced images are self sabotaged by the overly-pleasant “family values” couple chosen for their ostensible “middle-class/value” appearance.
From the first time they were seen on home screens across the state, in various versions, one has to wonder what the next “family dialog” they will so clearly and cleanly and fortuitously indulge; now that they have openly expressed forebodings and fear of Constitutional damages never, ever, actually at risk in any way.
What do you think “Daddy” will now suggest? I doubt if he will draw out a pack and offer a death-stick to that loving wife so well-played there.
Measure 50 is NOT, by any means, the first initiative proposing Constitutional change; nor is it in any way possible for it to do damage NOW or LATER to what the Oregon Constitution stands for and accomplishes for all of us.
We can decide that for any appropriately needed such change or clarification.
The Measure 50 matter is forced into Constitutional presentation simply by the repeated failures of the “elected representative assembly” to deal with it as it should have done.
That was sabotaged by strong internal interests well-motivated by “corporate campaign contributions”.
Given that enforced choice- an unforeseen consequence of “corporate person-hood” procured by the same methods decades ago from our national Supremes, in the Railroad Era known for its legislative corruption-- we are fortunate in Oregon to have the mechanism and protocol providing potential rational and reasonable solution for such Legislative failure.
It is now deadly-obvious Big-T is determined to get what has already been paid-for, no matter how much more moola must now be massaged into public-opinion/shaping propaganda by the pretend-morality of “Constitutional damage” sure to be done.
That’s as obvious a lie as others already in evidence for you to “see with own eyes” in this revolting series; and well-reported via The OREGONIAN already.
Don’t be confused or confabulated from your rational, reasonable, demanded and essential support for this measure.
In place, Measure 50 will further control and consolidate the real work to repair the damages done to millions of Americans via this noxious weed, by its practical cost-control applied not only to slow demand leading to death, but also to provide currently and desperately needed healthcare for our Oregon kids.
That attack on the entire national health continues, perpetrated ever since slavery-days by corporate interests intent on dollars and profits despite the documented major tolls vs the total population; via not only medical dollar-millions demanded from taxpayers to provide for those impacted; but the desperate family damages unavoidable through continued open sale of this poisonous product.
That’s WHY a once-vigilant national administration forced large dollar penalties in the historic forced agreement which keeps Big-T from using the usual normal advertising channels- and thus now forced to muscle mental aberrations from Oregon citizens through dollar-encrusted Oregon television channels.
We will either pay-off by our mutually-determined and rational, reasonable vote- or by more millions spent needlessly to make amends for allowing Oregonians to be so seduced, set up and simultaneously poisoned by a product already proven to have killed millions worldwide. This practice has over past generations and decades, deserving only to be removed from public consumption. That is because it is serving corporate profit-interests at the cost of millions-more damaged and eventually dead.
