(MIAMI, Fla. ) - A teacher who was shot in the lower body outside a Miami-area high school Tuesday morning, is expected to survive.
John Schuster spokesman for Miami-Dade County Public Schools says the male teacher from Miami Carol City Senior High School was shot during an apparent robbery.
Miami police say two suspects ran away from the scene and are believed to be in a nearby apartment complex which is now being searched.
Carol City elementary, middle and senior high schools were on lockdown due to the shooting.
