(SALEM, Ore.) - Pacific Power crews say they are continuing to respond to outages that have affected customers all day throughout Oregon and Washington.
As of 4:00 PM today, there are 4,733 Pacific Power customers without electricity in Oregon and Washington. In many cases, these are scattered outages.
Current outages in Oregon:Clatsop County – 1,800 total (includes 653 in Warrenton and 357 in Seaside)Lebanon – 700Enterprise – 582 (mostly Wallowa Lake area)Sweet Home -- 217Stayton – 104Hood River -- 88Lincoln City – 82Dallas – 15
There are also scattered outages, each affecting less than a dozen customers, in Bend, Redmond, Dallas, Harrisburg, Portland and Roseburg.
Current outages in Washington:Walla Walla – 867 (601 in Mill Creek area; 69 in Waitsburg; 48 in Prospect Point; rest scattered)Yakima – 9 (scattered; restored 544 in Wapato area who were out from approximately 3:00-4:00 PM)
PGE says they appreciate the public's patience and support as their crews work to get power back on as quickly and safely as possible.

Repair crews will continue to work through the night, and the majority of those without power should be restored by daylight. The final stages take more time, because crews have to address individual neighborhoods, homes and businesses, some of them in remote areas.

PGE prioritizes outage response according to safety first, which means downed lines and critically needed customers such as hospitals and fire stations.
Their next priority they say is impact: restoring lines that serve the most customers.
The transmission lines, the "super highways" are restored first, followed by feeder lines, the equivalent of arterial streets, followed by individual neighborhoods.
