Police Seek Suspect in Credit Union Robbery

According to the employees, there was no mention of a weapon and no weapon was observed.

(SALEM, Ore.) - The FBI and Marion County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a robbery that happened today at the Central Willamette Community Credit union, 852 Lancaster Dr SE.

Bank employees told investigators that at 2:14 PM, a white male, approximately six feet tall, with a mustache and in his forties, entered the bank wearing a gray hooded sweat shirt and sunglasses.

The suspect reportedly made a verbal demand for money and left the business with an undisclosed amount of cash.

According to the employees, there was no mention of a weapon and no weapon was observed.

Witness indicated the suspect stuttered when he spoke. The Federal Bureau of Investigation was notified and responded to the incident which is still being investigated.
