Man's Body Discovered in Tualatin Creek

Tualatin Police do not suspect any foul play at this time and the death appears to be accidental.

(TUALATIN, Ore.) - Police say a white male was found lying face down in rain swollen Hedges Creek in Tualatin this morning. The report was called in by a passer-by who saw the body of the man when she was out walking her dogs. The body was reported at about 7:50 AM today.

Police officers responded and located the body of a white male lying face down in about 2-3 feet of water. The victim was clearly deceased.

Police officers were able to remove the body from the water with the assistance of Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue. The body was released to the Washington County Deputy Medical Examiner.

Hedges Creek runs generally West to East from the wetlands near SW Tualatin Rd., to a point where it drains into the Tualatin River near the Tualatin River bridge on SW Boones Ferry Road.

The victim was identified as 54-year-old Ronald D. Albertson, who was born May 29, 1953. Mr. Albertson's last known residence was in Tualatin.

Mr. Albertson's next of kin has been notified and they authorized the release of his identity.

The Oregon State Medical Examiner will determine the final cause and manner of death. Tualatin Police do not suspect any foul play at this time and the death appears to be accidental.
