OSP Meth Initiative Team investigation leads to nine arrests on a number of charges.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Oregon State Police an investigation by their Meth Initiative Team detectives led to the arrest of nine people this morning in SE Portland on multiple charges.

Lieutenant Gregg Hastings with the state police says the arrests stemmed from a joint investigation in Tillamook County earlier this month and included an arrest of a Pendleton-area woman wanted on an escape charge.

Hastings says that around 7:00 AM this morning, detectives, SWAT Team members and police troopers, served a search warrant at a trailer park located at 11803 SE Division #9.

"A total of nine people were taken into custody without incident. Evidence of a methamphetamine manufacturing operation was found at the scene including chemicals and glassware," Hastings said.

In addition to the drug charges, two of the women were arrested on theft charges after police say they were found in possession of a stolen coat and cell phone.

Hastings says it became clear when the theft victim contacted detectives at the scene about the theft and the connection was made when the female suspects had the stolen property described by the victim.

Earlier this month Hastings says, a joint investigation by Tillamook County Sheriff's Office and OSPMIT detectives led to the arrest of 14 people. Information and evidence during that investigation, led to today's search warrant and arrests.
