Snow Advisory for Willamette Valley in Effect Through Tonight

Snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are possible through this evening, with heavier amounts expected over 1000 feet.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - A Snow Advisory is in effect for the mid-Willamette Valley until 10:00 PM this evening.

According to the National Weather Service in Portland, the latest storm system will move over Oregon today and tonight. There will be a short period of time with rain mixed with snow on the valley floor through daybreak. The snow level will then rise to near 1000 feet later this morning before falling back to 500 feet later today and tonight.

Snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are possible through this evening, with heavier amounts expected over 1000 feet.

A Snow Advisory means that periods of snow will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities.
