Salem-News.com Business Report

Training for students will take place in both a classroom setting and an actual dental office all located in the same office suites in South Salem.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Willamette Valley Dental Assisting School, LLC (WVDAS) announces the formation of its new Radiologic Proficiency Course.

This course is for practicing dental assistants without a state-issued radiology certificate or for those wishing to complete requirements for Expanded Function requirements via the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB). It is also a highly recommended course for WVDAS graduates.

An Open House and free informational meeting with pizza and soft drinks is scheduled for February 27th. The first class is scheduled to start on March 5th.

Graduates from WVDAS’s Radiologic Proficiency Course will have 32 hours of actual instruction and experience. Those completing the course with a 80% or better average grade will receive a Certificate of Completion. All classes are taught by experienced, licensed dental professionals.

Training for students will take place in both a classroom setting and an actual dental office all located in the same office suites in South Salem. The school’s comprehensive training program will prepare successful graduates for testing for the national boards for dental assisting and be ready for licensure with the State of Oregon for basic radiology certification.

WVDAS offers a non-traditional approach by offering convenient, 1-day per week class schedules – offered on Wednesdays, Fridays or Saturdays, and a more affordable approach to the end-result: a career in dental assisting.
