Obama and Clinton Doing Battle in Oregon

There are 260-plus superdelegates who are yet to be claimed and are not bound by the outcome of any state's vote.

(PORTLAND, Ore. ) - Democratic Presidential hopefuls Sen. Barack Obama and Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton will be visiting various sites throughout the state of Oregon over the next few days, hoping to win the 52 pledged delegates to be apportioned by voters on May 20.

Obama is holding a town hall meeting in Albany on Friday at the Linn County Fair and Expo Center that is scheduled to begin at 3:30 PM. The event, is open to the public, and the doors open at 1:45 PM. Tickets are required and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

After the Albany town hall meeting, the Obama moves on to Eugene, where Obama will hold a rally at the University of Oregon. The gates open at 5:45 PM, and the event is scheduled to start at 7:45 PM. Those planning to attend should RSVP online at or.barackobama.com. The campaign is asking those attending the rally to limit personal items and not to bring bags for security reasons. No signs or banners will be allowed into the events.

On Saturday, Obama will move on to Summit High School in Bend for a town hall meeting. Doors open at 9:30 AM and the event is scheduled to start at 11:30 AM.

Hillary Clinton is holding a health care discussion Friday at Doernbecher Children's Hospital. The health care discussion is not be open to the public.

Three Women for Hillary Rally and Stroller Parades, two on Saturday and one on Sunday, will be held in honor of Mother's Day.

The Saturday events in Portland and Eugene and will be attended by Ann Lewis, Ellen Malcolm, Alice Palmer, Betty Roberts, Laura Tyson, Erika Alexander and Sophie B. Hawkins.

The first event Saturday is scheduled to start at 10:30 AM, at the Matt Dishman Community Center, 77 NE Knott St. in Portland. The second event Saturday, begins at 4:00 PM at Roosevelt Middle School, 680 E. 24th Ave. in Eugene. On Sunday, a rally and parade will be held at 2:30 PM in Ashland and be attended by Ann Lewis, Alice Palmer, Erika Alexander, Kim Gandy and Dolores Huerta. The specific location has not yet been released. More than 50 local elected officials from across Oregon are behind Clinton, including Gov. Ted Kulongoski.
