Two men face numerous charges including second-degree Robbery and third degree Assault.
(KEIZER, Ore.) - Police investigators in Keizer received several tips following the media coverage of an assault that happened May 4th involving a victim man named Michael Courtney. They say the subsequent investigation has led to the arrests of 21-year old Nathan Lynn Coats and 20-year old Eric Albert Ray Deatherage, both of Salem in connection with this case.
Sgt. John Troncoso with Keizer Police says investigators received information that the suspects, who had been drinking alcohol, "had gotten into a verbal confrontation with the victim via telephone through a third party, which ultimately culminated in the assault and robbery."
He says both suspects received the same criminal charges, and were lodged at the Marion County Correctional Facility two days ago.
They face charges of second-degree Robbery with 20,000 bail, third-degree Assault with $10,000 bail, second-degree Theft with $5,000 bail, a Harassment with $5,000 bail, and also conspiracy.
