Neil Young makes another Lithium Ion battery purchase and Larry Dye says he is ready to talk to investors.

(SALEM, Ore.) - With the price of gasoline edging toward five dollars a gallon, it makes sense that more people than ever are interested in making the switch to an alternative energy car.

For the three-year old Salem dealership, Electric Wheels Inc., it seems that almost every day brings a new development of one kind or another. One of the more recent is an order from Rock Star Neil Young for his second set of Lithium Ion batteries from Electric Wheels owner Larry Dye.

Neil Young's LincVolt.com project transforms a 1959 Lincoln Continental convertible into an electric car that has a small generator on board to charge the batteries.

It was test driven 30 miles this week in Wichita, Kansas where it is being developed. They were satisfied to the degree that they ordered a whole new set for their next project; the electric conversion of a Ford F-150 truck.

Among the emerging ideas at Electric Wheels are standard gasoline car conversions to electric. This is an idea being talked about and it has led Dye to suggest that the best way to accomplish that will be for an interested investor to come forward and take the dealership to the next level.
