Salem-News.com is keeping up on Oregon's winter conditions.
(SALEM, Ore.) - AccuWeather.com reports bitter cold continues to cascade into the Northwest today, aided by a large trough in the jet stream that has dipped southward through central California.
A storm system farther south will spread snow into from northeastern California through most of Oregon and southern Idaho. Accumulations of 1 to 3 inches can be expected across much of this area over today and tonight.
Drivers in Oregon are urged to maintain slower speeds and allow more time when traveling. Ice is hazardous and can cause a driver to quickly lose control. It is a great time to avoid driving altogether if you can.
