(BORING, Ore.) - Two commercial truck drivers escaped injury Monday morning during a collision on Highway 26 west of Highway 212 near Boring.

Oregon State Police Recruit Scott McLeod says this morning around 8:19 AM, a commercial truck was parked on the south shoulder eastbound Highway 26 near milepost 20.

The truck's driver, 43-year old Scott Smithson, was outside the truck cleaning his windows when the back of the trailer was hit by an eastbound commercial truck driven by 50-year old Katrina Neilsen, McLeod said.

Neither driver was injured. No residence information is available.

Nelisen was driving for Neilsen US Mail. She indicated bright sun affected her view of the stopped truck and trailer before the collision.

Smithson was driving for Jacobson Transportation Company.

The highway was covered with snow and ice when the crash happened according to McLeod.

"The right eastbound lane will be closed until vehicles and debris is cleaned up," he added.

OSP troopers from the Portland Area Command office are completing the investigation. No enforcement action taken. ODOT is on scene.
