Coast Guard Group North Bend, Ore., received an agency assist request, at approximately 5:10 p.m., from the Charleston, Ore., Fire Department to hoist a man who had fallen approximately 30 feet from a cliff.

	        <title> Coos Bay Man Arrested Following Drug-Involved Injury Traffic Crash</title> 
	        <description> A Coos Bay man is facing multiple charges following a drugged driving-related crash Monday afternoon on the Highway 241 Isthmus Slough Bridge. Two people were injured in the crash.

According to Oregon State Police (OSP) Trooper Josh Young, today at approximately 2:32 p.m. a 2001 Toyota Tacoma pickup driven by Michael Richard Ames, age 39, from Coos Bay, was reportedly being driven recklessly southbound across the Isthmus Slough Bridge when it traveled onto the southbound sidewalk.</description>

	        <description> The Coast Guard medically evacuated an injured crewman from a fish processing vessel that was 40 miles southwest of Coos Bay, Ore. at approximately 12:10 a.m., Friday.   

The Coast Guard was notified 11 p.m., Thursday that Mamadou Konato, a 46-year-old male, had injured his hand in machinery while working on the 276-foot fish processor Pacific Glacier. </description>

	        <description> A Coos Bay man is under arrest today for taking out a boxcutter and attacking an Oregon Auctioneer at the Woodburn Auction on Highway 99, South of Woodburn.

About 80 people were in attendance at 11:50 a.m. when 22-year old Jeremiah Thomasson reportedly attacked Chuck Boyce over a two dollar bid.  Boyce is an Oregon native and a longtime auctioneer.  Friends describe him as an intelligent and considerate individual and express outrage over the attack.

	        <description> The U.S. Coast Guard out of Coos Bay, Oregon and the Charleston Fire Department responded to a fire on the recreational vessel Sea Weed near Coos Bay, after receiving a distress call at 6:30 AM.

A spokesman from the Coast Guard says the motor lifeboat Intrepid crew, from Station Coos Bay, contained the vessel fire by spraying it with foam.  The Coast Guard says a 47-foot motor lifeboat was also deployed from Station Coos Bay to assist with the situation.

	        <title> Removal of New Carissa Wreck from Oregon Coast Scheduled For 2008</title> 
	        <description> The Oregon Department of State Lands announced Tuesday that removal of the wreckage of the New Carissa cargo ship likely will take place in spring and summer of 2008.

In May 2006, the State Land Board approved a settlement with Green Atlas for the state to receive approximately $22.1 million to pay for removing the wreckage and to cover legal expenses.

DSL staff has begun working with state and federal agencies and Titan Marine to work out the details of the numerous permits required to complete the wreck's removal.</description>

	        <title> Crew Member Medevaced From 280-Foot Vessel Near Coos Bay</title> 
	        <description> A crewman from a 280-foot vessel was airlifted by the Coast Guard Sunday morning 34 miles off the coast of Coos Bay.

Coast Guard officials said at 9:30 AM, the 13th Coast Guard District`s command center in Seattle received a call from the health provider aboard the fish processing vessel American Dynasty requesting medical assistance for a 47-year old crewmember suffering from a possible heart attack.  

An HH-65 Dolphin helicopter from Coast Guard Air Station North Bend, was launched to medevac the man.

The helicopter lowered a rescue swimmer to the vessel. </description>

	        <description> Three people aboard a 16-foot motor boat died Tuesday when it capsized in Coos Bay after getting hit by two waves.

The victims, two men and a woman, have NOT been immediately identified.
