	        <title> Newberg-Dundee Officer Involved in a Vehicle Crash</title> 
	        <description> An officer of the Newberg-Dundee Police Department was involved in a crash Tuesday on Hwy 219 near Sitka.  The officer was in uniform, driving a marked police car, and traveling Northbound on Hwy 219 when he reported observing a vehicle traveling Southbound without its head lights on.

The officer activated the emergency lights and attempted to make a traffic enforcement stop by performing a U-Turn at the Sitka intersection.

	        <title> Dundee Murder Suspect Arrested in Oregon City</title> 
	        <description> Monday about 5:00 p.m., the Clackamas County Sheriffs Office responded to 15715 S. Hattan Road, Oregon City based on information received from the Newberg Police concerning Jonathan Williams, a Murder Suspect from their jurisdiction.

At 4:30 a.m. Saturday, neighbors in Dundee heard several gunshots and notified police. After searching for an hour, 30-year old Timothy Craig Long's body in a nearby driveway.

Police say the situation came to their attention over the weekend.  A 15-year old girl told officers she had engaged in sex with 44-year old Darrin Vaughn Daily after he gave her marijuana and alcohol.

23-year old Kevin James Jarnagin called the Newberg-Dundee 9-1-1 Center shortly after 930 a.m. Tuesday, July 7th 2009, reporting that an infant girl was not breathing and unresponsive.

	        <title> Newberg-Dundee Police Arrest 3 Men Over Multiple Armed Robberies‏</title> 
	        <description> Three Newberg men were arrested for armed robbery Wednesday evening, moments after they held up a local convenience store, police say. The case investigation resulted in the arrest of two of the men in a robbery at another Newberg convenience store about 22 hours earlier.

Sgt. Tim Weaver with Newberg-Dundee Police, says the first robbery occurred at Everybody's Market, 2113 Portland Road, Wednesday, about 1210 AM.

"Two of the men in both robberies entered the store and demanded money. One had a large knife or machete, and allegedly threatened the clerk with the machete while pushing him toward the back of the store," Weaver said.

Around 7:30 PM, Yamhill County Sheriff's deputies were called to a robbery at the Bakery and Tacos el Pad Reno, 621 NE Third, in Lafayette where a lone Hispanic man reportedly entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded cash.

	        <title> Police Arrest Two in Dundee Shooting</title> 
	        <description> Police made an arrest in the April 30th shooting that took place in Dundee.  Around 11:30 PM Thursday, 34-year old Willard Wayne Waggoner was arrested by the US Marshals Service Oregon Fugitive Task Force with vital assistance from Salem Police Department and Albany Police Department.  The arrest was made at a residence in Albany.

Waggoner is one suspect charged in connection with last month's shooting in Dundee.  The late evening event caused traffic on Highway 99W to be closed down traffic on Hwy 99W while members of the Yamhill County Major Crime Response Team investigated the crime.

	        <description> Police arrested the driver of a car involved in Sunday afternoon's fatal traffic crash that resulted in the death of a Dayton woman.  

Carma Smith died when a vehicle driven by 26-year old Leonel Zurita Loeza crossed the center grass median on Highway 99W near Dundee, flew into the air and struck her car.  Troopers arrested the man upon his release Monday afternoon from a Portland-area hospital.

	        <title> Shooting in Dundee Leads to Closure of Highway </title> 
	        <description> A shooting last night sent Newberg-Dundee Police officers  to Lumpy's Tavern on Highway 99W in Dundee at about 11:45 PM.  The highway was closed for several hours and reopened about 7:15 AM Today.

Police say the victim, 46-year old Grant Leroy Herring of Dundee, reportedly entered the tavern with a gunshot wound.  He was flown to a Portland area hospital by Life Flight.  His condition is not known.

	        <title> Newberg-Dundee Police Catch Alleged Rapist-Kidnapper</title> 
	        <description> 29-year old Ignacio Benito-Bejarnano, of Newberg, was arrested Wednesday evening, and charged with second degree kidnapping and attempted first degree rape.  Second degree kidnapping is a Measure 11 (mandatory minimum) crime.  Attempted first degree rape is not.
 
The investigation began early Wednesday after the woman called police and reported that while driving away from delivering her children to a babysitter, she was confronted by Benito-Bejarnano, who had apparently hid in the back of her van.
